How to turn off the watermark in Google Flow

Open Google Flow, click your profile picture, find the visible watermark setting (Media watermark) and switch it off. Videos you create after that are exported without the Gemini diamond. The setting does not change videos you already made, it is not offered in India, South Korea and Vietnam, and the invisible SynthID watermark always stays.

Remove a watermark now

Steps

Open Google Flow and sign in.
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner. In the Gemini app the same switch is under Settings.
Find the visible watermark setting, shown as Media watermark or Visible watermarking.
Switch it off. It applies to every video, image and song you create from now on.
Generate the clip again if you need a version of an older video without the mark.

What the setting changes

New videos: exported without the Gemini diamond in the bottom-right corner.
Videos you already exported: unchanged. The diamond is part of the pixels of those files.
SynthID and C2PA Content Credentials: still embedded in every file, whatever the setting.

If you do not see the switch

Google rolled the setting out over several days from August 2026, so it can appear late on some accounts. It is not offered in countries whose rules require a visible mark on AI media. For video, Google names India, South Korea and Vietnam; reports say only Google AI Ultra subscribers there can change it.

Videos you already made

Generating a clip again costs credits and gives a different result. If you want to keep the exact clip you already have, remove the diamond from the MP4 instead. Can I turn off the watermark in Google Flow for free? In most countries, yes. The visible watermark setting is not tied to a paid plan there. In India, South Korea and Vietnam the mark stays on for video.

Does turning off the watermark remove it from old videos? No. The setting only affects content created after you switch it off. Videos already downloaded keep the Gemini diamond.

Does turning off the visible watermark remove SynthID? No. SynthID is invisible and is added to every Flow video, so the clip can still be identified as AI-generated.
